Order Guam Passport: Here Are the Requirements and Application Process

Okay, so I needed to get a Guam passport. First, I went to their office in Barrigada. I found out they’re open Monday through Friday, from 8 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon. But, you know, they’re closed on holidays and weekends. I made a mental note of their phone number, (671) 635-8974, just in case.

I got there and realized that walk-ins are cool, which is good ’cause I didn’t make an appointment. I’m over 16, so I had to fill out the adult application. It was pretty standard stuff, nothing too crazy. Also, I found out that I had to pay the fees in cash. It was $85 for a new applicant like me. Good thing I brought some cash along.

Here’s what I did:

• Showed up: I went to the Guam passport division in Barrigada during their working hours.
• Filled out the form: I grabbed the initial application form for adults since I’m 16 and above.
• Paid the fee: I made sure to bring cash because they only accept cash payments there.

They told me the usual wait time is about 6 weeks, but they made it clear that it’s not a sure thing. They said it could even take up to 13 weeks, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed it doesn’t take that long. I also learned that if your passport is damaged, or if you had one before your 16th birthday, you gotta apply for a new one, just like I did.

After submitting everything, I emailed them just to double-check that my application was received. Their email is It’s always good to have a paper trail, right? I made sure to keep a copy of all my documents, just in case something goes wrong. You never know.
