Buy Pakistani Passport Online: Is It Safe and Legit?

Alright, so I wanted to share my experience with trying to buy a Pakistani passport online. Let me tell you, it was quite a journey!

First, I started by doing some digging online. I needed to renew my passport, and I was hoping to do it all from the comfort of my home. I found some stuff about an online system for renewals, but it seemed a bit confusing. Apparently, it’s mainly for people living inside Pakistan.

Then, I stumbled upon something about applying for a machine-readable passport online, which sounded promising. But as I read more, I realized that it wasn’t as straightforward as I had hoped. There was this note saying that if you’ve had any recent changes, like getting married, you can’t make those updates through the online system. Bummer, right? Because I recently tied the knot.

I kept searching and found some advice that basically said, “Don’t bother applying online.” You can download forms and fill them out on your computer, but that’s about it. Not exactly what I was looking for.

Feeling a bit defeated, I decided to look into the different types of Pakistani passports available. There’s a whole bunch, with different validities and whatnot. It’s a lot to take in!

Finally, I found something about a system where Pakistanis living overseas can apply online. It’s called the e-Services Portal. Sounded like a good thing but I didn’t need it as I was in Pakistan. And for folks outside Pakistan, it’s only for renewals, not new passports or modifications.

So, here’s what I learned from my little adventure:

• Renewing a Pakistani passport online is possible, but mostly for people living in Pakistan.
• If you have any life changes like marriage, you probably can’t do it online.
• There’s a system for overseas Pakistanis to renew, but it has limitations.
• There are different types of passports, so you need to figure out which one you need.

In the end, I decided it was just easier to go through the traditional process. It might take a bit longer, but at least I know it will get done right. It’s not as easy as ordering something from an online shop, that’s for sure!
