Alright, so I set out to get an Uzbekistan ID card online. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, let me tell you, it was quite the journey. I figured, why not document it? Maybe it’ll help someone else out there, or maybe it’ll just be a good laugh in the future.
Starting the Process
First, I did some digging. I found out that starting January 1, 2021, Uzbekistan started issuing these ID cards to newborns and citizens. And if you’re a foreigner living there, you can get one too. Cool, I thought, this should be straightforward. I mean, they’re doing it “to create convenience for the population,” so it must be easy, huh?
Gathering Information
I learned that these ID cards are only valid in Uzbekistan. If you want to travel abroad, that’s a whole other story. Also, if you’re a foreign citizen with permanent registration in Uzbekistan, your ID card’s validity won’t exceed your national passport’s. Makes sense, I guess. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is behind all this, and they started rolling it out on January 4, 2021.

The Application
Now, to actually get one, I found out that I could start the process until the end of 2020, but the real deal was to begin from 2021. So, I filled out all the online forms I could find. It felt like I was signing up for some exclusive club. I even saw somewhere that there was a welcome pack worth 6200 USDT. I’m not sure if that’s related, but hey, who doesn’t like free stuff?
- Filled out online forms.
- Checked the validity rules.
- Wondered about the welcome pack.
Waiting Game
After submitting everything, it was just a waiting game. I kept checking my email like a hawk, hoping for some kind of confirmation. It was a bit nerve-wracking, not knowing if I missed a step or if my application got lost in the digital void.
Success!
Finally, I got the email! My ID card application was approved. It felt like winning a mini-lottery. I followed the instructions to complete the process, and eventually, I had my very own Uzbekistan ID card. It wasn’t as quick as ordering a pizza, but hey, it was an experience.
Reflections
Looking back, it was a bit of a rollercoaster. There were moments of confusion, a few facepalms, and a lot of waiting. But in the end, I got what I needed. Would I recommend it? Sure, why not. Just be prepared for a bit of an adventure. And if you’re doing it, remember to start early, double-check everything, and maybe, just maybe, you’ll get a welcome pack too.
