Looking to Buy Jordanian Passport? Check This Out First

Listen up, y’all! You wanna get yourself a Jordanian passport, huh? Well, it ain’t like buyin’ a bag of candy at the store, lemme tell ya. It’s a whole process, and you gotta know what you’re doin’.

First off, you need to figure out if you’re even eligible. See, them Jordanians, they don’t just hand out passports to anyone. If your daddy’s a Jordanian, then you’re probably good to go. They say it don’t matter where you was born, if your daddy’s one of ’em, you’re one of ’em too. That’s what I heard, anyways. But if your daddy ain’t Jordanian, well, then you gotta jump through some hoops, I reckon. Maybe marry a Jordanian fella or somethin’, I dunno. You gotta figure that part out yourself.

Now, once you figure out you can get one, you gotta get your hands on some papers. They got this application form you gotta fill out. Don’t go scribblin’ all over it like a chicken scratch, now. Try to write neat, so them folks can read it. You’ll probably need some pictures too. Them pictures gotta be just so, with a white background and all. Don’t go smilin’ too big or nothin’, just a regular ol’ picture of your face.

And don’t forget your old passport, if you got one. They wanna see that old thing, plus a copy of it, just in case. And you’ll need a copy of your Jordanian ID, if you got one of them, and your Saudi Residence Permit, if you’re livin’ over there in Saudi Arabia. It’s like they want a whole heap of papers, I swear. Just keep gatherin’ ’em up ’til you got a big ol’ pile.

Where to go and what to do?

Now, where do you go with all these papers? Well, there’s this place in Amman, called the Civil Status and Passports Department. It’s in Tabarbour, next to the public security folks, whatever that means. You can call ’em too, if you got questions. Their number is +96265636666, or you can fax ’em at +96225636657. But I ain’t never used a fax machine in my life, so good luck with that. They also got a website, I think, but I ain’t too good with them computer things. You youngsters can probably figure that out better than me.

  • Step one: Get all your papers together. That’s the application, the pictures, the old passport, the ID, the residence permit, the whole shebang.
  • Step two: Find the Civil Status and Passports Department in Amman. Or maybe there’s a place at the airport, they say it’s open all the time, seven days a week.
  • Step three: Hand over your papers and hope for the best.

And listen, don’t go tryin’ to bribe nobody. These folks ain’t playin’ around. You gotta do things the right way. Once you hand over your papers, they gonna give you somethin’ to pay, I reckon. A financial voucher or somethin’. You pay that, and then they’ll give you your passport. But don’t go tryin’ to get it for someone else. They only hand it over to the person who applied for it, that’s what I heard.

Now, some folks talk about gettin’ a passport through their husband or somethin’. Like that lady whose mother-in-law told her to get one for herself and her baby. Sounds complicated to me. And other folks sayin’ you can renew your passport too. Same kinda deal, I guess, just more papers and more hoops to jump through. It’s all a bunch of rigmarole if you ask me.

So, there you have it. That’s about all I know about gettin’ a Jordanian passport. It ain’t easy, but it ain’t impossible neither. Just gotta be patient and do what they tell ya. And if you get confused, just ask somebody. Ain’t no shame in askin’ for help.

One last thing: Keep in mind this here is just me tellin’ ya what I heard and what I understand. I ain’t no expert, so don’t come blamin’ me if things change or if I got somethin’ wrong. You always gotta double-check things for yourself, that’s what I always say.
