Alright, so you wanna get yourself an Iraqi passport, huh? Well, listen up, ’cause I’m gonna tell ya how it is, no fancy talk, just straight to the point.

First things first, you gotta get your hands on that application form. Don’t ask me where, find it yourself! Probably online, these youngsters do everything on them computery things nowadays. Anyways, once you got it, fill it out. And don’t go makin’ no mistakes, they don’t like that. Use a good pen too, none of that erasable stuff, looks messy. And make sure your writin’ is neat, if you can manage that.

Now, along with that form, you need some papers. They call ’em IDs, like your identity card, y’know? And some pictures too, they gotta see your face, make sure you ain’t nobody else. Take some good ones, where you look presentable. Not like that time I went to the market lookin’ like I just crawled outta bed, hah! And you need a bank thingy too, a cheque they call it, to pay for this whole shebang. Can’t get nothin’ for free these days, can ya?

Okay, so you got your form, your IDs, your pictures, and your cheque. Now you gotta find yourself an office, where they deal with these passport things. Go in, and look for a person, an officer they say. Give ’em your stuff, and they’ll take your fingerprints. Don’t worry, it don’t hurt none. They just wanna make sure you’re really you, I guess. And they’ll check all your papers, make sure nothin’s fishy.

After that, you gotta go to another window, they call it the auditin’ window. Sounds fancy, but it just means they’re gonna double-check everything. And don’t forget, you gotta pay a fee, 25 somethings, I don’t know what they call it, but you gotta pay it at a bank that the big bank, the Central Bank, says is okay. You need to make sure that you go to the right bank. If not you won’t be able to even start to do this whole thing in the first place. So really this is where you need to start. At the very beginning.
