Order Brunei ID Card Online: How to Get Yours Fast!

Okay, so, I recently had to get a new Brunei ID card, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience. I figured I’d share my journey here in case anyone else is going through the same thing.

First off, I had to get myself an e-Darussalam account. Now, this thing is basically your golden ticket to a whole bunch of online government services. Think of it as a one-stop shop, but online.

I went online and tried to find the right place to start. I searched and clicked around, and finally found out that the Immigration and National Registration Department is the one that deals with this stuff. They have an application form you can download, which is pretty convenient.

One thing I learned the hard way: your National Identity Card number is super important. It’s like your username for your e-Darussalam account, and then you pick your own password. Don’t forget these details, because you’ll need them to access all those services.

What I needed to do

• Get the application form online
• Fill out the form completely (no skipping anything!)
• Make a copy of my passport, and find the original one, too
• Head down to the Immigration and National Registration Department

So, I did my research, looked up where I could apply for the ID, and found out I could do it at the Headquarters. Then it was just a matter of getting all my documents in order.

I gathered all the required papers, filled out the application form very, very carefully, and double-checked everything. Then I went to the Immigration Department in person. I know some places let you do everything online, but for this, it seemed like going in person was the way to go.

I waited in line for my turn. Once it was my turn, I submitted my application form and all the required documents. They checked everything, and told me to wait for the new ID card to be ready.

And that’s pretty much it! It was a bit of a process, but I got through it. Now I’ve got my shiny new Brunei ID, and I’m all set. I hope sharing my experience helps anyone else out there who’s about to go through the same thing. It’s really not as scary as it might seem at first!
