Also they confirmed that starting from August 23 the government issued passport was missing signature field but they fixed it later in January 24.

Now, I don’t speak or read Arabic, so I had to rely on some online translation tools and some articles written in English, that states the steps required by Syrian Embassy remotely. There’s one specifically mentioned the steps by Syrian Embassy in Oman. It was a bit rough, but I managed to figure out the gist of it. Basically, I had to submit some documents online. They said it was for stuff like residency deferment for the first time, renewing deferment, paying some fees for reserve duty, and paying for service expiration. They said I could check all the details online. I know that Syria passport holders need electronic travel authorization or online visa to some places, but those are not visa-free. So I have to get one of those.
