Okay, so, I needed to get an Uzbekistan passport, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. I decided to go the online route, ’cause who wants to deal with all that in-person stuff, right?
First Steps
First, I did some digging around to figure out what I needed. Turns out, they started issuing these new passports in 2021, replacing the old ones. Good for folks born and living in Uzbekistan. From what I gathered, the whole process usually takes about 5 to 10 working days, from when you submit your application. So, I knew I had to be patient.
Gathering My Documents
I got all my documents together. You know, the usual stuff you need for these kinds of things. Personal details, passport info, the whole nine yards. I double-checked everything ’cause you don’t want to mess up any of that.

The Waiting Game
- Filled out the online form, which was pretty straightforward.
- Submitted my application and all the documents.
- Then came the waiting. This part was a bit nerve-wracking, not gonna lie.
Invitation and Telex Number
So, my papers went to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan. They had to get me something called a telex number. Apparently, this part can take about 5 to 8 working days. I kept myself busy during this time, but I was always checking for updates. Finally, I received the telex number. That was a good day, I tell ya.
Success
After all that, I finally got my Uzbekistan passport. It was a bit of a process, but I managed to get through it. Going the online route definitely made it more convenient. If you’re planning on getting one, just be prepared for a bit of waiting and make sure you have all your documents in order. It’s doable, trust me. I did it!
