Order Palau ID Card: Easy application process explained for you!

Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this whole digital nomad thing for a while now, and one of the things I stumbled upon was the Palau Digital Residency. I thought, “Hey, why not give it a shot?” Seemed pretty cool to have a legit ID from a tropical paradise, even if I’m not physically there all the time.

So, I went ahead and started the application process. First thing I did was hop onto their website. It’s pretty straightforward, nothing too complicated. I mean, if I can figure it out, anyone can.

I filled out all the forms online. You know, the usual stuff like name, address, passport details. I made sure to double-check everything because, you know, typos and bureaucracy don’t mix well. I took some photos of my passport and a selfie and uploaded them. Pretty standard stuff for any online application these days.

Then came the payment part. They have different options: a one-year deal for $248, a five-year one for $1,039, and a ten-year plan. I opted for the five-year plan ’cause it seemed like the best bang for my buck, and then I paid the application fee using my credit card.

After submitting everything, I just had to wait. I read somewhere that it usually takes about two weeks for them to process these applications, and I got a confirmation email saying they received my application. So I just chilled, worked on my other projects, and tried not to constantly check my email.

Sure enough, about 12 days later, I got an email saying my application was approved! I was pretty stoked. But the process wasn’t over yet. They still had to make the actual ID card and ship it to me. They said that could take another two to four weeks.

So, I waited some more. Finally, after about three weeks, I got a notification that my ID card was on its way. And a few days after that, it arrived in the mail! I was so excited to finally have my Palau Digital Residency ID card. It looks pretty legit, with my photo and all the official details. I felt like I had accomplished something. It’s a good feeling. I guess that’s how I got my Palau Digital Residency ID card. All in all, a pretty smooth experience.
