Hey, you wanna buy a Bahamas passport? I hear folks talkin’ ’bout it. Sounds like a big deal, gettin’ a passport from another place. I don’t know much about these things, but I hear it can be a real headache, so many steps and things you gotta do. Some people say it is easy, but I don’t think so.

First, you gotta be livin’ in the Bahamas for a long, long time. Ten years! Can you believe it? Ten years livin’ in the same place. And not just any ten years. You gotta be a “legal permanent resident” for all those ten years. And then, you gotta live there for six years before that! That’s a heap of years! Too many years for me, I tell you, I can’t live in the same place for so long.

And you gotta fill out a bunch of papers. They call it “Form DS-11” and some other form about losin’ your old passport, if you had one. I lose things all the time. My glasses, my keys… you name it. But I never lost a passport, because I never have one. I wouldn’t even know where to begin with all those papers, so many papers.

And money, oh, the money! It costs a lot of money, I tell ya. $130! That’s a lot of eggs and milk. You could buy so many things with $130. I guess if you really need that Bahamas passport, you gotta pay. But it sure seems like a lot to me, I can’t spend that much money on those things.

  • You gotta live in the Bahamas for 10 years.
  • Fill out a bunch of forms, like DS-11.
  • Pay a lot of money, like $130.
  • Wait a long time, like 7-10 days, maybe more.

I saw some places online sellin’ all kinds of stuff. Clothes, shoes, tools, even houses! They got everything on the internet these days, it’s crazy. They even got houses for sale in San Jose. Fancy houses, I bet. I saw one for sale, it says “Welcome to 2672 Northwood”, I don’t know where is that place, but it sounds so good.

One place, called… Temu? Sounds like a funny name. They sell everything cheap. You know, that place is full of cheap things, you can buy a lot of things there. Clothes and kitchen stuff. My neighbor, she always buy things from there, and she told me it’s cheap. But I think those cheap things are not good, you know, cheap things will be broken soon. So, I don’t buy things there.

Another place is called Sears, that’s a big name, huh? It sells a lot of things. They sell tools and even beds! That’s more like it. They got those big names like Kenmore and Craftsman. If you need a good bed or strong tools, you gotta go to Sears. My old man, he always bought tools from Sears. Good tools, lasted a long time. But I don’t know how is it now, maybe not as good as before.

And they got guns too! Lots of guns. At a place called Sportsman’s… something. They sell guns and things for shootin’. I don’t know nothin’ about guns. Never touched one in my life. But if you like shootin’ things, maybe that’s the place to go. They say they have everything for shooting, for hunting, even for making your own bullets.

You know what, all this talk about buyin’ a Bahamas passport and all these things for sale. It’s makin’ my head spin. I think I need a nap. It is not easy to get a passport, you have to wait a long time, and spend a lot of money. I think you should think again and again before you decide to buy a Bahamas passport. All I know is, it is not as easy as buyin’ eggs and milk. If you want to buy things, you can go to Temu or Sears, they both have a lot of things you can buy. But if you want to buy a Bahamas passport, you have to wait, wait, and wait. You need to live there for a long, long time. I don’t know about you, but I think it is too much trouble. I am just gonna stay right here and not worry about it.

But if you really, really want that Bahamas passport, it is gonna take time. They say you gotta wait 7-10 business days. Maybe even longer! 15 days for some things. That’s a long time to wait for somethin’ you paid so much money for. But, if you want it, you have to wait, no other way. That’s what they say.

So, there you have it. All this stuff about buyin’ a Bahamas passport. It’s a lot of work, a lot of waitin’, and a lot of money. I guess if you really want it, you can do it. But me? I’m gonna stay put. I’m too old for all that runnin’ around. Maybe buy some new tools from Sears, though. My old ones are gettin’ rusty.
